Define what information comes in, goes out and under what controls
An integration is assessed by its mechanism, scope and error handling, not a collection of logos.

A process with responsibilities
Exporting is not synchronising
An export produces a one-off output. Synchronisation requires mappings, frequency, an owner and conflict rules. Define which you need.
Source and destination
Specify the tool, version, data, volume and direction of exchange. Confirm whether a connector is available or additional work is needed.
Test errors
Use duplicates, incomplete data and a subsequent change. Check detection, resolution and prevention of recurrence.
Identity and tax
SSO depends on the provider and configuration. Tax integration applies to a specific scope and version. Universal compatibility is not promised.
